Roll your banner up, secure it with a rubber band or tape, and place it under your bed, in your closet, or in a pantry where it will be safe from excessive heat, dampness, small children, or pets. Things We Need to Know Before You Order a Banner How will you use the banners or signs? What image(s) are you trying to project? Do you have a specific design/logo in mind already? What is your budget? What size banner would you like? Where will it be hung? From what distance is it to be read? Is it for indoor or outdoor use? How long do you want it to last? Have you decided on a fabric? (If not, see Samples) What color(s) will be used in the image? Solid, spot colors, halftones or shades of color, or photographic, four-color process? What quantity will you need? Will it be single or double sided? Are there any special requirements concerning the fabric (flame retardant, cloth vs. vinyl, fabrication, finish, durability)? When do you need and banners and where? Do you need help with installation? Do you have any special artwork you want included on your banner? If so, do you have the image on a disk? A photograph? To ensure that every wrinkle prints out clean and crisp, we need the full-size image resolution to be 50 dpi (Dots Per Inch). That means that when we blow up Aunt Edna''s best mug shot from a 3"w x 5"h photo to a 36"w x 60"h banner the scan has to be done at 600 dpi. The nifty little equation we use for figuring this out requires some algebra skills on your part but works wonders when trying to determine the scan resolution of your image. Photographic Prints and Negatives: How photographs and negatives scan depends on the quality of the original. If anniversaryideas the image is blurry there is little that can be done to improve the sharpness. If the photograph is too dark or too light, or the color is not great, the scan can be manipulated to some extent and improvements anniversaryideas can be made. A negative will always contain more detail in the shadow and highlight areas than a photograph produced from it.
